The short answer

A done-for-you AI calling service writes your scripts, sets up the AI caller, runs the campaigns and books appointments on your calendar, for one monthly price. You don’t build anything. If you’d rather build and run your own AI phone agent, you want a platform like Bland, Vapi or Retell instead (compared at the end).

The done-for-you services in this guide, by what they fit:

  • Outbound System: fully managed outbound AI calling on a platform we built in-house, at a fixed monthly price ($1,499 to $3,999/mo for 250 to 1,000 dials a day). The AI replies in under 300 milliseconds, calls from your own pool of 50 to 200 local numbers that don’t show up as spam, screens out voicemails, and you approve every script. No list? We build one for you. Disclosure: this is us.

  • ColdCalls.ai: per-seat AI caller for B2B calling lists ($499 to $7,800/mo). You upload the list and write the objection responses.

  • CallSetter AI: calls your new inbound leads and revives old ones ($497 to $1,997/mo plus a one-time setup fee). Not built for cold lists.

  • Bigly Sales: minute-based plans for high-volume inbound and outbound calling ($99 to $9,999/mo).

  • TopCalls: managed calling billed at $0.35 per minute, no monthly fee.

  • LiveHuman.ai: managed inbound and outbound AI calling with a dedicated project manager. Pricing not published.

  • MapleVoice and ClearTalk: done-for-you AI agents built mainly to answer inbound calls, with outbound on some plans.

How we compared them

We run AI calling campaigns for our own clients, so we know which questions decide whether a service works for you. We checked each vendor’s own website on October 21, 2026, and only used what they publish. We didn’t sign up for trials. Where a vendor’s pages disagree with each other, we used its pricing page and say so.

We looked at six things:

  1. Who does the work. Who writes the script, builds the AI caller and runs the campaigns: the vendor or your team.

  2. Outbound or inbound. Many “AI calling” services are built to answer calls. If you need the AI to call people, check that outbound is the main product.

  3. Pricing model. Fixed monthly price, per seat, per minute, or a mix, plus setup fees. Per-minute pricing is cheap to start and harder to predict.

  4. Who supplies the leads. Most services here call only the leads you bring. Outbound System can also build a business target list for you. None of them sells consumer leads with consent attached.

  5. Compliance. Do Not Call scrubbing, calling hours, opt-outs, and who is responsible for consent.

  6. Contract. Month-to-month or locked in, and how much notice to cancel.

What separates AI callers that book meetings

Price and setup matter, but most AI calling campaigns succeed or fail on the call itself. These are the problems that most often sink a campaign, and what to ask any vendor about each one:

  • Dead air. If the AI takes too long to reply, people say “hello?” and hang up. Ask for real call recordings, not a scripted demo, and listen for the gaps.

  • Talking over people. A good AI caller stops when it’s interrupted and doesn’t jump in when someone says “um.” Ask what happens when a prospect cuts in.

  • A robotic voice. Ask which voices you can choose from and whether you can test two against each other.

  • Calls flagged as spam. One number making hundreds of calls a day gets flagged fast. Ask how many numbers you get, whether they’re local, and how many calls each one makes a day.

  • Voicemails counted as conversations. Some dashboards count voicemails and phone menus as answered calls, which hides how a campaign is really doing. Ask how the vendor tells a person from a machine, and whether the AI leaves voicemails.

  • Call screeners. Phone screening features ask callers to say who they are. Ask whether the AI answers the screener or hangs up.

  • Made-up facts. AI can invent numbers and promises. Ask how scripts are checked before calls go out.

  • Bad bookings. Meetings booked without a real yes, wrong email addresses and double bookings all waste your calendar. Ask how a booking is confirmed.

Few vendors publish how they handle these, so the entries below stick to what each one states. Ours includes how we handle each problem.

The services

1. Outbound System

Disclosure: Outbound System is our company. We’ve included our limits as well as our strengths.

  • What it is: A done-for-you AI calling service on a platform we built in-house. The AI has two-way phone conversations with your leads and books appointments on your calendar.

  • Who it fits: Businesses that want outbound calling handled for them at a predictable price: speed to lead, old lead reactivation, past client outreach and partner prospecting (for example, loan officers calling real estate agents).

  • How it works: You connect your CRM or web forms, or upload a list. If you don’t have a list, we build one: business contacts that match your target buyer, with mobile and direct phone numbers, from our own B2B contact database. We write the scripts from data across 10,400+ campaigns, and you approve every word before a call goes out. Every call is recorded with a transcript and summary, and we test openers, objection responses and call times every week.

  • Pricing: $1,499/mo (up to 250 dials a day), $2,499/mo (up to 500), $3,999/mo (up to 1,000). Month-to-month, cancel with 10 business days’ notice.

  • Results: A loan officer at Presidential Bank booked 15 real estate agent meetings in his second month, and 75% showed up (case study). Candlewood Development, a real estate investor, replaced three offshore callers and booked 61 agent meetings (case study).

  • Know before you buy: Outbound only; it doesn’t answer inbound calls. It books meetings rather than transferring live calls to your team, and it doesn’t send text messages. The entry price is higher than per-minute tools. You’re responsible for the consent language on your own lead forms.

How it handles the usual AI calling problems:

  • Dead air: The AI replies in under 300 milliseconds, so there are no awkward gaps that make people say “hello?” and hang up. While it checks your calendar it keeps the conversation going instead of saying “hold on.”

  • Talking over people: It stops the moment it’s interrupted, and it doesn’t jump in when someone says “um” or trails off.

  • A robotic voice: You pick the voice by listening to our voice library, and you can split calls between two voices to see which books more. Numbers and acronyms are spoken the way people say them, and “LLC” and “Inc” are dropped from company names. If someone asks whether it’s an AI, it says yes and carries on.

  • Spam flags: You get your own pool of local numbers across different US area codes: 50 on the $1,499 plan, 100 on $2,499 and 200 on $3,999. The AI calls from a number that matches the lead’s area code when one is available, no number makes more than 10 calls a day, and your company name is registered as the caller ID name. Our numbers don’t show up as spam.

  • Voicemails and phone menus: A live listener hangs up on voicemail greetings and phone menus, and the AI never leaves voicemails. When a call screener asks who’s calling, it says who it is and who it’s calling for, then waits.

  • Made-up facts: Every script is checked line by line before launch, and the AI can only quote numbers that come from your own material.

  • Bad bookings: The AI can’t book until the prospect has actually agreed. It reads new email addresses back before booking, offers only open times from your real calendar, and won’t call anyone who already has a meeting booked with you.

  • Compliance: Every number is checked against federal and state Do Not Call lists, known TCPA litigators and your own list, then checked again right before it’s dialed. Calls go out only during set calling hours in the lead’s time zone, and anyone who asks not to be called is added to your Do Not Call list automatically.

  • Your CRM: Two-way HubSpot sync, Monday, Cal.com and Calendly, plus a lead link that works with Zapier, Make, GoHighLevel and most other systems.

2. ColdCalls.ai

  • What it is: An AI caller that dials a B2B list, qualifies prospects and books meetings into your calendar and CRM.

  • Who it fits: Its site says teams “that want booked meetings without hiring or running a dial floor”, with the Starter plan for founders and small teams testing outbound.

  • How it works: You create an account, connect your CRM and calendar, and upload your list. During onboarding, ColdCalls.ai reviews your setup for compliance and configures calling hours, Do Not Call scrubbing and AI disclosure. Its site says: “You write the rebuttals; the agent uses yours.”

  • Pricing: Per seat. Starter $499/mo (1 seat, 250 connected minutes), Growth $1,490/mo (3 seats), Scale $3,900/mo (10 seats), Enterprise $7,800/mo (20 seats). Yearly billing is 50% off. Monthly billing, cancel anytime. (pricing)

  • Know before you buy: You bring the list and the consent basis; its site says “You remain responsible for your lists and your consent basis.” Plans are measured in connected minutes.

3. CallSetter AI

  • What it is: A done-for-you AI appointment setter that calls new leads, answers inbound calls and works old leads.

  • Who it fits: Its site names businesses that book appointments for revenue, companies spending $4,000+ a month on paid leads, and companies with 500+ dead leads to revive.

  • How it works: CallSetter writes the scripts, configures the voice, connects your CRM and tests the setup. Your part is one 30 to 60 minute onboarding call.

  • Pricing: Starter $497/mo (1,000 minutes) + $997 setup, Growth $997/mo (2,200 minutes) + $1,497 setup, Enterprise $1,997/mo (5,000 minutes) + $1,997 setup. Overage $0.45 to $0.55 per minute. No contract, 30 days’ notice to cancel. (pricing)

  • Know before you buy: Outbound calling is for your own new and old leads, not cold lists. Its homepage and pricing page list different prices and cancellation terms, so confirm on a call.

4. Bigly Sales

  • What it is: An AI calling system for inbound and outbound calls, sold on minute-based plans, that includes buying and registering phone numbers.

  • Who it fits: Its site names revenue teams in regulated, high-volume industries such as mortgage, insurance, legal and political campaigns.

  • How it works: Bigly designs your prompts, connects your CRM and lead sources, and handles phone number registration and spam monitoring. It says most teams launch in three days.

  • Pricing: Scout $99/mo (500 minutes), Prospector $500/mo (3,000), Hunter $2,999/mo (25,000), Closer $4,999/mo (50,000), Rainmaker $9,999/mo (125,000). Overage $0.08 to $0.20 per minute; phone numbers $2 each; annual billing 30% off. (pricing)

  • Know before you buy: A dedicated account manager comes with Hunter and above. Its own TCPA guide notes that “the seller remains responsible for the campaign whatever the vendor contract says.”

5. TopCalls

  • What it is: Managed AI calling for lead qualification, follow-up, reactivation, inbound response and booking.

  • Who it fits: Its site names teams where “leads go cold, callbacks get missed, or your team wastes hours on repetitive qualification.”

  • How it works: You provide the script, objection notes, a quality rubric, CRM access and your compliance rules. TopCalls configures the call flow and handoffs, launches and monitors the calls. Its site says “Live in 2 weeks.”

  • Pricing: $0.35 per minute, all-inclusive, billed by the second. No seat fees, setup fees or minute bundles. (pricing)

  • Know before you buy: You supply the script and compliance rules. Its site doesn’t say who supplies lists or handles Do Not Call scrubbing.

6. LiveHuman.ai

  • What it is: Done-for-you AI calling, inbound and outbound, with text and email follow-up, live transfers and appointment setting.

  • Who it fits: Its site names sales teams replacing cold callers, appointment setters and SDRs, and enterprise campaigns.

  • How it works: Each client gets a dedicated project manager for setup, scripts, campaign management and optimization.

  • Pricing: Not published; you book a strategy call. (site)

  • Know before you buy: Its site doesn’t state pricing, setup time or how it handles Do Not Call lists.

7. MapleVoice and ClearTalk (inbound first)

Both build and run AI agents for you, but their main product answers inbound calls. Consider them if answering calls matters more than calling out.

  • MapleVoice: $199, $299 or $399 per month plus a per-minute rate; outbound batch calling on the two higher plans; month-to-month with 30 days’ notice; says it goes live in 48 hours. (pricing)

  • ClearTalk: $297/mo (500 minutes) or $697/mo (2,000 minutes); ClearTalk writes the scripts and you approve them; says most clients go live in 2 to 4 weeks. (pricing)

Done for you vs. building it yourself

If you have a developer and want full control, a voice AI platform costs less per minute. You build the agent, write the prompts, buy phone numbers, connect your CRM, and handle Do Not Call and consent rules yourself.

AI calling and the law (what to ask any vendor)

In February 2024 the FCC ruled that AI-generated voices count as “artificial or prerecorded” voices under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). As a result, these calls require the prior express consent of the person called, unless an emergency purpose or exemption applies (FCC ruling). This is not legal advice; check your own situation with counsel. Ask every vendor:

  1. Do you check every number against the national Do Not Call registry, state lists and my internal list before dialing?

  2. Do you enforce calling hours in the recipient’s time zone?

  3. How are opt-outs handled during the call, and how fast do they reach my CRM?

  4. Who is responsible for consent, you or me? (In every service above, the answer is you.)

  5. Are calls recorded and can I review every one?

Frequently asked questions

What is a done-for-you AI calling service?

A service that writes the scripts, sets up the AI caller, runs the calling campaigns and books appointments for you, usually for a monthly fee. It’s the alternative to building your own AI phone agent on a platform like Bland, Vapi or Retell.

How much does a done-for-you AI calling service cost?

Published prices in this guide range from $0.35 per minute (TopCalls) to fixed plans of $497 to $9,999 per month. Some add one-time setup fees of $997 to $1,997. Outbound System costs $1,499 to $3,999 per month for 250 to 1,000 dials a day, month-to-month.

Can AI make outbound sales calls?

Yes. AI callers now hold two-way phone conversations, answer common questions and book appointments. Check that a service’s main product is outbound: several services in this guide are built mainly to answer inbound calls.

Is AI calling legal?

Yes, when you follow the TCPA and Do Not Call rules. Since the FCC’s February 2024 ruling, AI voices are treated like artificial or prerecorded voices, so consent rules apply. Every service in this guide makes you responsible for consent.

Done-for-you AI calling vs. hiring callers: which is cheaper?

A human caller typically costs $4,000 to $8,000 a month through an agency and makes 150 to 300 dials a day. A done-for-you AI calling service in this guide costs $497 to $3,999 a month for comparable or higher daily volume. Humans still win for complex, consultative calls.

Will people know they’re talking to an AI?

Today’s AI voices sound natural, but don’t rely on anyone’s claims. Listen to real recorded calls before you buy, and check how the AI answers if someone asks. Ours says yes and carries on with the call. You can hear real calls on our AI calling page.

Do I need my own list for AI calling?

Not if you sell to businesses. Outbound System can build a target list for you, with mobile and direct phone numbers, matched to the buyers you want to reach. For consumers, the AI only calls people who’ve asked to hear from you, like your web leads and past customers, so that list comes from you.

How do AI callers avoid being marked as spam?

By spreading calls across many local numbers and limiting how many calls each number makes a day. Outbound System gives each client 50 to 200 local numbers across different US area codes and caps each number at 10 calls a day, and its numbers don’t show up as spam. Ask any vendor how many numbers you get, how they’re used and what happens if one gets flagged.

Bottom line

If you want outbound AI calling run for you at a fixed monthly price, on local numbers, with scripts you approve and a target list we can build for you, book a call with Outbound System or hear real AI calls. If you want to call cold B2B lists on a per-seat plan, compare ColdCalls.ai. If your main need is calling inbound leads fast and reviving old ones, compare CallSetter AI. If you have developers and want to build it yourself, start with Bland, Vapi or Retell.
