Bland AI vs. Outbound System
Bland is an enterprise voice AI platform: self-serve plans are priced per minute with daily call caps, and features like calendar booking and number pools are Enterprise only. Outbound System includes all of that on every plan, at a flat monthly price.
Why Outbound System
Why Are People Switching From Bland AI to Outbound System
Every Feature vs. Enterprise-Only Features
On Bland’s pricing page, calendar booking, live transfers, number pools and call guardrails are listed as Enterprise only. Outbound System includes calendar booking, local number pools, voicemail handling, do-not-call checks and CRM sync on every plan, so you don’t need an enterprise contract to book meetings.
Flat Price vs. Per-Minute Plus Platform Fees
Bland charges $0.14 a minute on Start, or $0.12 a minute plus $299 a month on Build, with transfer minutes and, per its pricing page, telephony billed on top. Outbound System is one flat monthly price, from $1,499, with numbers, voices and dialing included and no per-minute charges of any kind.
Real Volume vs. Daily Call Caps
Bland’s Start plan caps you at 100 calls a day and 10 at once; Build allows 2,000 a day. Outbound System plans are sized by daily dials, from 250 to 1,000 a day, with the local numbers needed to support that volume already included, so you are not trading off how many people you can reach.
Local Number Pool vs. a Shared Pool
By default, Bland calls from a pool of numbers it owns, local caller ID is a paid add-on, and cycling numbers means contacting your Bland rep. Outbound System gives every campaign its own pool of 50 to 200 local numbers, caps each at 10 calls a day and registers caller ID names, so our numbers don’t show up as spam.
Natural Interruptions vs. Talking Over People
A caller who keeps talking when you interrupt sounds like a robot. One Reddit tester wrote that when a customer interrupts, Bland “tends to keep talking for a solid 1-2 seconds before cutting off.” Outbound System stops the moment someone speaks, replies in under 300 milliseconds and picks the thread back up naturally.
Compliance Built In vs. Bring Your Own Scrub
Bland blocks numbers on its own do-not-call list, but we found no documented scrub of your list against the national registry. Outbound System rechecks every number against the Do Not Call list and a known-litigator list right before each dial, calls in each lead’s local hours and never leaves voicemails.
Ready Today vs. a Deployment Project
Bland describes a 28-day deployment framework on its pricing page and says most production agents go live in two to six weeks. Outbound System arrives assembled: pick a voice, approve a script, upload your leads and launch, with scripts checked before launch and local numbers, compliance and CRM sync in place.
Support on Every Plan vs. Enterprise Attention
A Bland user on Reddit called the company “mind blowingly unresponsive” after agents and knowledge bases were wiped. Every Outbound System plan includes a real team that reviews your calls and scripts with you, and we can run the whole campaign for you, lists and scripts included, if you’d rather not.
